FrogID is Australia's first national Citizen Science frog identification initiative, a project led by the Australian Museum in partnership with IBM. It utilizes a mobile app to help identify frog species by their call and geotagging to map species distribution to help track and understand the health of Australia’s natural ecology, with more than 200,000 frogs recorded across Australia since launch.

“The FrogID app helps identify and map different frog species by the unique sounds they make, or their ‘audio DNA’. These recordings will provide data on the health of Australia’s frog populations and identify species that are at risk, to assist and inform future conservation efforts.”
