P-TECH
Anniversary

P–TECH is a public-education model that provides high school students from underserved backgrounds with the academic, technical, and professional skills and credentials they need for competitive STEM jobs. Launched in 2011 with one school in Brooklyn, the program has since expanded to over 240 schools in 28 countries.

With the first Australian graduates joining IBM in 2021, we just had to join the celebrations.

As we welcomed the first cohort of Australian P-TECH students to IBM as trainees, we also had the opportunity to showcase what made each of them unique. Gabriel is legally blind, so some may think that his ability to build a career in tech may be impossible. This is his story.

Tobias’s Story.

As we welcomed the first cohort of Australian P-TECH students to IBM as trainees, we also had the opportunity to showcase what made each of them unique. Tobias has cerebal palsy, impacting his speech and movement. Some may think this would impact his career prospects. This is his story.

Rory’s Story

As we welcomed the first cohort of Australian P-TECH students to IBM as trainees, we also had the opportunity to showcase what made each of them unique.
